Growing up in my family in Virginia I was expected to be saved at a young age. I was
13 years old and still not saved. I was very unsure about being a Christian but my
mother was desperate for me to be saved. Through some circumstances I began to beg
the Lord to assure me I was saved. I chose Him and was baptized in perfect peace knowing
that I was saved.
Throughout high school and college I wanted more experiences of the Lord. In college
I met a Christian sister. One weekend I was reading a Watchman Nee book. Later this
Christian asked me why I was reading that book. I told her it was good, practical
and helpful. The book was, Sit, Walk, Stand. That evening we walked to a quiet
area and prayed Lord if there is a place where You are real on this earth we want
to be there. And He answered. We were from little nowhere places in Virginia yet we
found the local church and I was home at last.
Now it has been over 30 years of learning under Watchman Nee by his books and the
testimonies of so many. Witness Lees sharing over the years has gotten deeper and
so experiential.
Witness Lee shared a lot in the beginning of his ministry here in the United States
on Ephesians and the reality of the church. We began a Life-Study of the Bible and
for the next 21 years we went through the whole Bible book by book and revelation
by revelation of the practicality of Christ and the church, His Bride.
Each year I am helped by the Lord, my fellow believers, and the practical serving
of the believers to be transformed and conformed to Christ.
