In early 1998 there arose a feeling within many members of the Body of Christ to build up the testimony of Jesus in three major cities in the Southeastern U.S. Memphis, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Florida, and Charlotte, North Carolina. As a result of this feeling, some believers began moving to Charlotte from local churches in different cities to strengthen the small group of believers already meeting there in the oneness of the Body of Christ. During the next two years, families moved from a number of cities in various states, including California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. This has been a real blending of the churches.

The Lords Day morning meeting in Charlotte includes a time of singing and mutual enjoyment in speaking the Word of God, and there are also classes for the teaching and care of the children. We have the Lords table (1Corinthians 10:21) in the evening, which is a rich time of fellowship. On Tuesday, we meet for prayer. There are also numerous home meetings for all the believers. The young people and college students have regular weekly gatherings. There are now over 100 meeting as the church in Charlotte, including the children.

Most of the families live close to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and several homes are within walking distance. We have a specific desire to cluster around UNCC to attract the young people to His purpose building up the Body of Christ.
